Create a private voice room in the linker community, invite the people you want to talk with, and manage access from one menu. Rooms are temporary, so there is no abandoned channel to clean up afterward.
Use /room wherever linker is available and choose Create Room. The voice room is always created in the linker server’s Rooms category, even if you start the command elsewhere. You must already belong to the linker server; linker does not automatically join you to it. Give your room a name and select friends by Discord mention, user ID, or a username linker already knows. You can have one active room at a time.
Add or remove people from the room menu and share the room invitation. linker skips direct invitations to people who have disabled room invites in their privacy settings. Invitees must also be members of the linker server. linker does not automatically add them to it.
Join the voice room with your friends. While you are in a linker room, you receive the temporary Rooming role in the linker server. It is removed when you leave. With at least two people present, room activity can earn Global Chat XP without increasing your message count.
Run /room again to return to your active room's controls. The owner can change its guest list, share an invite, or delete the room; linker server administrators can also remove it. When the last person leaves, the ten-minute cleanup period starts. If someone returns before it expires, the room stays.
Room settings survive a bot restart. If linker is offline or lacks permission to delete the channel, cleanup resumes when it can access the room again.
